Senior Year!!
Senior Portrait Experience
Your senior year isn’t just another milestone — it’s a turning point.
It’s the final chapter of one story and the very first page of the next. A year filled with excitement, reflection, confidence, and possibility. You’ve spent years imagining what this season would feel like, and now it’s finally here.
Senior portraits are about more than a great outfit or a beautiful location.
They’re about capturing who you are right now — your personality, your style, your confidence, and everything that makes this season uniquely yours. These are the images you’ll look back on long after caps are tossed and plans are made — photographs that tell your story honestly and beautifully.
This is one of the few moments in life that deserves to be documented with intention and artistry. An investment in imagery that will live on long after senior year has passed.
Our experience begins with a simple inquiry, followed by a personalized, in-person consultation. This is where we get to know you — your interests, your vision, and what you want your portraits to say about you. From there, every detail is thoughtfully planned to ensure an experience that feels effortless, fun, and truly you.
We can’t wait to meet you and create something unforgettable together. We cannot wait to tell your story.
FAQ
What is the process to book a session?
To book a session, click on the contact button on the website and send me your request. There are details there about the process and once I receive your inquiry, we will move forward from there. I require all seniors and a parent/guardian to come for a pre-session consultation to plan all the details.
How many outfits do I get to change into?
Most clients find that 2-3 outfits is a good number to work with, however, I ask you to bring LOTS of options so we can have good choices. During our pre-session consultation we will talk about your style and some places you can obtain pieces that will reflect the look you want to achieve. I love when you text me photos of your outfits beforehand to help me plan!
Do you offer hair and makeup services?
I have a list of professionals who offer both services and I would be glad to give you recommendations. I strongly recommend that you have at a minimum, your makeup done. This is a special day for you and looking your best only serves to increase your confidence in front of the camera. And, after all, who doesn't like a little pampering. The difference in your images is STUNNINGLY different!!
Who chooses the location(s)?
I will be glad to help you think of locations during your pre-session consultation. However, ultimately location choice is up to the client, along with securing appropriate permission for location usage and paying associated fees if required.
What happens if it rains at my session?
Because the weather in TN is ... unpredictable, I typically do not cancel sessions until an hour or two prior. If you have hair/makeup scheduled and want to reschedule before that window of time, we can do that as well.
Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend/mom/dad/dog?
You can! We will talk about all those details during your pre-session consultation!!
What is your cancellation policy?
All my sessions require a contract signed by a parent and a deposit. Cancellation terms are covered in the contract.
What forms of payment do you offer?
I accept cash, check, all major credit cards (with a 3% service charge), PayPal, Venmo, cash app as payment for services/products. You can pre-plan and do a payment plan as long as it is paid in full prior to delivery of products.
Do you offer studio sessions? Cap and Gown sessions?
As a full-service photographer with a studio I am able to offer studio sessions as well as on-location sessions. If you can envision it, we can create it.
Do you offer add-on specialty sessions?
After your initial session, should you want to add on a sports or specialty session (different season, friends, etc.), I do offer a discounted mini session for that. It will be separate and will have it's own viewing and ordering session.
Is there a session fee? What does it cover?
There is a $250 session fee for a standard session for seniors. It covers the time, talent of the photographer and her assistant on the day of your session. It covers planning time, pre-session consults, editing time, ordering and viewing sessions and delivery time. It is payable to book your session.
Testimonials
“Maria is the best as evidenced by her beautiful and creative images! Even more important, she makes each individual feel special, comfortable, and their most beautiful in their own skin in front of the camera. She is patient and considerate ... never rushing or hurrying along. She is great and we highly recommend her as you won't find anyone more dedicated to her craft and their clients than Maria." ”
~ DeeDee, mom to Madison, Brentwood High School
I had the best experience with Maria for my senior photos for college graduation. She was so flexible with scheduling and location. Most importantly I loved the photos she took and delivered. I would recommend her for any photography needs.
~ Celeste, Belmont University
I absolutely loved working with Maria Latham. She did my daughter's senior photos and they are amazing. Maria has great ideas and great locations and props. She spent about six hours with us that day. My only complaint is that I have so many great pictures to choose from that it's hard to pick a favorite. I would highly recommend Maria to anyone. Love her!!
